"Television eats Kids"
by Janine Haig

Television eats kids –
Makes them disappear,
Look in all the playgrounds –
They’re empty, sad and drear.

 It started pretty slowly –
Just a few kids to begin,
Then it moved into more houses –
Television sucked us in.

Where else have they gone to –
All those people that I knew?
T.V. took a nibble
Then its appetite just grew.

It holds kids in its power
And they’re never seen again,
Forget about their freedom
For the T.V. zaps their brain.

 And it’s never in a hurry –
It might take a year or two,
So be very very careful –
Or the T.V. might eat you.
